Oana Rasoga

Oana was born in Bucharest, Romania. She studied Physics-Informatics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest, graduating in 2006. In the same year, she started working at National Institute of Material Physics, place where you can still find her today. After the Master, she continued the studies for a PhD degree at the same Faculty in the field of Condensed Matter, funded by the POSDRU/6/1.5/S/24 project. During the PhD she studied the optical properties of some organic materials for photonic applications and the EBL technique for photonic crystal fabrication.

Now, her work is specially oriented on: (a) organic thin film deposition by different techniques: vacuum evaporation, spincoating, Langmuir-Blodgett, etc.; (b) optical and electrical properties of organic thin films; (c) UV-nanoimprint technique.

She is in charge of two project: (1) Elastomeric tuneable metasurfaces for efficient spectroscopic sensors for plastic detection and (2) Waterproof flexible hybrid solar cells.
