Marcela Socol
Marcela este nascuta in Odobesti (Vrancea), Romania. A studiat Fizica la Facultatea de Fizica, Universitatea din Bucuresti, absolvind in 2000. In iunie 2001, a fost angajata la Institutul National de Fizica Materialelor, unde a ramas pana in prezent A terminat Masterul în 2001 iar in 2002, s-a inscris la doctorat, tot in cadrul Facultatii de Fizica. In timpul doctoratului, ea a studiat proprietatile optice și electrice ale unor semiconductori organici.
Activitatea sa de cercetare s-a axat in principal pe: (a) straturi subtiri organice obținute prin diferite metode: evaporare in vid, centrifugare, evaporare laser pulsata asistata de o matrice (MAPLE), Langmuir-Blodgett etc.; (b) filme hibride pentru aplicatii in domeniul celulelor fotovoltaice; (c) investigatii optice si electrice; (d) microscopie cu forta atomica.
